Apostille Costa Rica Company Documents

Apostilled Costa Rica company documents are often required when they are to be presented in a foreign jurisdiction that is a party to the Hague Apostille Convention. In Costa Rica, apostilles are issued by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Worship, the competent authority responsible for authenticating public documents for international use. An apostille certifies the authenticity of the signature, seal, or stamp appearing on a document, enabling it to be recognised abroad without further legalisation. Company Registers

Costa Rican companies are required to file a Directors’ Register with the Registro Nacional, but they are not required to file a Shareholders’ Register. Therefore shareholder information  is unavailable through public records.
