An Illinois Certificate of Good Standing / Certificate of Existence is an official document issued by the Secretary of State and confirms an Illinois company has a Status of Good Standing with the Illinois Division of Corporations.
The Certificate of Good Standing is used to verify the existence of companies in the state to include registered partnerships, Corporations and Limited Liability Companies (LLC) in Illinois. The Certificate of Good Standing is an official company document, accepted by authorities and institutions as proof of continuing registration of an Illinois company.
The Illinois Secretary of State will only issue a Certificate of Good Standing if the Illinois company’s annual report’s are filed and up to date.
