A Belize Certificate of Good Standing is issued by the International Business Companies Registry. This document confirms that a company is in Good Standing and has paid all fees and penalties due under the Belize Companies Act.

With the introduction of the Belize Companies Act 2022, all companies must re-register via the Online Business Registry System and will be assigned a 9-digit business entity number along with an E-Certificate. If a company has not re-registered then a Good Standing certificate cannot be issued until the process is completed.

The Certificate Includes the following:

• Registered Company Name
• Company Registration Number
• Date of Incorporation

• Confirmation that the company is duly incorporated under the 2000 revised International Business Companies Act
• Confirmation that the company is still listed in the Belize International Business Companies Registry and has paid all due fees
• Statements verifying no ongoing mergers, consolidations, or winding-up proceedings
• Confirmation that the company is not under any strike-off actions
• Authorised by the Belize International Business Companies Registry with an official stamp and seal, and signed by the Registrar of International Companies and Business

You also have the option to request the Certificate of Good Standing with an Apostille, certified by the Registrar General in Belize.
