Instead, ASIC provides a Certificate of the Registration of a Company. This certificate, issued under Paragraph 1274(2)(b) of the Corporations Act 2001, confirms the company’s registration details and its status as a registered entity under Australian law.

The Certificate includes the following:

• Registered Company Name
• Company Name Changes – Including dates and details of changes.
• Company Registration Number
• Date of Incorporation
• Company Type – Proprietary company or limited by shares.
• Confirmation that the company is registered under the Corporations Act 2001.
• Date Issued – The date the certificate is issued by ASIC.
• Electronic Signature – Signed by an authorized officer at ASIC.
