After the public deed forming the company is signed, the Articles of Incorporation of the company are submitted to the Commerce Register and published in the Official Gazette, then the company can obtain its identification tax number at the Chilean IRS. After this point the company is fully functional.
A Chilean company requires either a Chilean native or a foreigner with a working visa to act as the legal representative of the company
The process starting from the date signing the public deed until the identification tax number is obtained should take about 10 days.
The shareholders may be Chilean or foreign, individuals, or legal entities, but cannot number less than two or more than 50.
To incorporate a Chile company the following is required for the company registrar:
We check that your Chile company name is acceptable and is not already incorporated with the Chile Companies Registry.
Once incorporated we provide a set of corporate documents for your Chilean company which, includes the Certificate of Incorporation, Memorandum of Association the Articles of Association, first minutes and share certificates. Copies of the company incorporation documents are sent via email and the originals from the companies registry are sent to you in a corporate folder.
Your Chile company must have a registered office, which must be a physical address in Chile. The registered office is where documents may be legally served on the company, we provide this registered office service in Chile.
To start the incorporation of your Chile company we initially only require, the proposed company name, details of the company directors, shareholders and the proposed activities.
Ready made companies are not available in Chile.
