A Certificate of Good Standing issued by Companies House confirms a company has a status of Good Standing with the Gibraltar registry.
The Good Standing status signifies a company is current with the filing requirements. The filing requirements for companies in Gibraltar are annual accounts and an annual return.
The Gibraltar Registrar can issue a Certificate of Good Standing for a company if the required company, is up to date with the filing of all its Annual Returns and Accounts.
Companies House can now include the following extra information
Particulars of the shareholders of the Company on the date the certificate is issued - Adding this information to the Certificate of Good Standing will help the professional to prove the status and ownership of a company at any particular period in time.
Only the company for whom a certificate is sought may request the granting of such a certificate. Any other person is limited to making a search and requesting certified copies of the documents on file.
In order to be able to include the particulars of the shareholders of the company in the Certificate of Good Standing the company needs to file a voluntary return of its shareholders. This return must be dated with the same date as the request for the Certificate of Good Standing. Filing a voluntary return of members is not a statutory requirement.
The voluntary return of members must be submitted and signed by a Secretary or a Director of the Company.
Additionally, we can provide an Apostilled certificate of Good Standing which officially legalises the document for international use.
A certified certificate of Good Standing takes 4-5 days. An Apostilled certificate of Good Standing takes 6-7 days. The original is delivered by courier.
